The FEED MY SHEEP Houston project aims to feed more than 700 individuals in the Houston community.  Dinners benefit the needy, homeless, or those who are unable to be with family on Thanksgiving.  The Community will enjoy smoked turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet kernel corn, green beans, rolls or breadsticks, cranberry sauce, ice cold soda, and dessert.  Individuals can receive their hot dinner by staying in their vehicles and driving up to our check-in station, providing some brief information, and then move on in the DRIVE-THRU line to pick up their meal. Walk-up service is also provided in our designated area.

We believe in community and provide pre-registered dinner orders to our service workers such as Workforce Solutions and the U.S. Postal Service.  Because our senior citizens are more than valuable to us, we also provide several senior apartment communities with pre-ordered dinners as well.

The event is held on the Wednesday preceding Thanksgiving.  With the help of our generous donors, we seize the opportunity to bless others at a time that can be difficult for many.  There is no income requirement, no payment is accepted, or any additional obligation required.

To make this event a success, we need your help and generosity to “fill the plate.”  Whatever contribution you can make will benefit the purpose of the season. We hope that you feel the passion in our hearts to promote community.  Together we DO make a difference!
